Description
The JS3 Spectra Bass takes Jackson’s offset styling and points it squarely at working bassists who need tone flexibility without a complicated rig. The poplar body carries a large upper horn that keeps the balance right where you want it on your shoulder, so long sets don’t mean neck dive creeping in.
Under your hand, the bolt-on maple neck uses a scarf joint for solid sustain, and the speed neck contour lets you move fast up and down the 12″-16″ compound radius laurel fingerboard. With 24 jumbo frets on tap, there’s no shortage of real estate for slap runs, upper-register melodies, or just digging into a groove.
Tone-wise, dual passive Jackson medium-output humbuckers deliver a thick, growling low end that adapts to funk, hard rock, or gospel without breaking a sweat. A two-way toggle gives you pickup coil splitting, and there’s a blend control plus 3-band EQ (active circuit) for shaping the sound further. The volume knob’s push/pull selector lets you bypass the active circuit entirely, so a dead battery mid-gig doesn’t mean losing your sound. The Jackson HiMass bridge locks everything down for stability and added sustain.
This Snow White JS3 pairs with black nickel hardware and Jackson’s distinctive 2×2 headstock featuring the understated J logo, rounding out a bass that’s as ready for the stage as it is easy on the wallet.
