Description
Bass players know compression is a tightrope — too little and your dynamics run wild through the PA, too much and you lose the growl and attack that make a bassline feel alive. The Keeley Compressor Pro was built to give you that control without compromise, engineered from the ground up as a true studio compressor that happens to fit on your pedalboard. It’s hand-assembled in Oklahoma and handles the frequency range and noise floor of high-end studio units, so it doesn’t choke on a low B or flatten your slap tone.
- Real-time metering: A 7-segment LED display shows gain reduction from -1dB to -20dB, so you can actually see what your compressor is doing instead of guessing by ear.
- Bi-color Threshold LED: Watch it flip from green to red to know exactly when compression kicks in — critical for setting up consistent levels on a bass rig where headroom matters.
- Exact RMS Analysis (ERA): Reads the true RMS value of your signal for compression that tracks your playing dynamics accurately.
- Hard/Soft Knee switching: Go hard for limiting and sustain, or soft (Komfort Kompression) to keep your low end punchy and natural without phase weirdness when blending.
- Auto Attack/Release: Flip it on and let the pedal set program-dependent attack and release times based on what you’re actually playing.
- True-bypass: Zero tone loss when the pedal’s off.
Controls include THRESHOLD, RATIO, ATTACK, RELEASE, GAIN, KNEE, and AUTO — enough depth to get surgical, but the Auto mode means you’re never stuck fighting settings mid-gig. Beyond bass, it’s equally at home on guitar, vocals, keys, or drums, whether you’re tracking at home, protecting your amp from overload live, or just adding sustain at low volumes. This is a demo unit.
