Description

The Forest Green Compressor (FGC) was built with guitar in mind, but bass players who’ve run one through their rig know it holds up just as well when you need control without losing the thump. Noise stays impressively low across the whole range, and the high overload margin means you can hit it hard with an active bass or slap technique without the compression turning to mush or the noise floor creeping up.

What sets the FGC apart is the switch between straight Compressor mode and Sustain mode. Compressor mode gives you the classic even-out-the-peaks response for tightening up a live mix or recording a clean DI track. Flip to Sustain and the pedal preserves your pick or finger attack while amplifying the decay, so notes hang on longer without feeling squashed — great for melodic bass lines, chords, or anything where you want the note to keep singing after you’ve moved your hand.

  • LEVEL — overall output in Compressor mode (works as a clean boost too); sets the level of the sustained tail in Sustain mode
  • COMPR — dials in compression/sustain amount, from light peak limiting to heavily compressed with retained clarity
  • TONE — shapes the compressed signal, from full-range low end to a tighter, treble-tamed voice
  • Mode switch — toggles between Compressor and Sustain behavior

Runs on 9–18VDC (14mA draw at 9V), with 1M ohm input impedance, 20K ohm output impedance, and true bypass so your tone stays yours when the pedal’s off.
