Description
Simon Gallup’s basslines built the backbone of The Cure’s sound, and this signature model puts his exact spec into your hands. Finished in gloss white with the black Spitfire graphic across a flat top with raised center, it’s built to be recognized the second you plug in.
- Neck-thru construction with Ultra Access joint for full reach up the 22-fret rosewood board
- Mahogany body paired with a maple/walnut multi-ply neck for a punchy, well-defined low end with grind up top
- 34″ scale, 16″ fretboard radius, thin ‘C’ neck shape — fast under the hand without feeling flimsy
- Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and a 2-way adjustable truss rod keep setup honest
- Dual EMG TBHZ active pickups driven by a Volume/Volume/Tone layout for real tonal range, from thumping and warm to aggressive and cutting
- Tune-O-Matic & Tailpiece bass bridge with Schecter tuners and Grip Tip speed knobs, all finished in chrome
- Comes strung with Ernie Ball 4-String Super Long strings (.045-.105)
The active EMGs give you the output and clarity to sit forward in a mix or drop back into thick, driving low end — exactly the kind of contrast Gallup’s playing demands. Neck-thru build means sustain and resonance that carry through the whole range, while the Ultra Access cutaway keeps upper frets genuinely playable, not just decorative.
Built in South Korea for Schecter, right-handed only. Note: the Ultra Bass G&G case shown is sold separately.
