Description
The Stiletto Stealth-5 is Schecter’s answer to bassists who want extended range without a mushy low end. That 35″ scale length keeps the B string taut and articulate instead of flabby, and the pairing of a Schecter Diamond SuperRock MM in the bridge with a Diamond P in the neck gives you both aggressive midrange growl and thumpy fundamental – blend them however the song demands. The active 2-band EQ (plus master volume and blend) means you shape treble and bass right at the bass instead of hunting through your amp’s tone stack mid-set.
Under the hood it’s a basswood body with a flat top, bolted to a maple neck carved in a thin ‘C’ profile – fast for runs, comfortable for long sets. The rosewood board carries 24 X-Jumbo frets with a 16″ radius, so bends and legato phrases feel effortless clear up the neck, and grey pearloid dots keep your fretboard readable under stage lighting. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and Schecter’s S-Tek bridge round out hardware built to hold tuning through aggressive playing.
Finished in satin black with matching black hardware, this thing disappears into a dark stage – all business, no bling. It ships strung with Ernie Ball 5-string Super Long .045-.130s, ready to plug in.
