Description
The StingRay tone is legendary for a reason, and STERLING’s Ray35 carries that DNA straight into 5-string territory. The ash body keeps the familiar contoured StingRay silhouette, so it sits on your body the way a StingRay should — balanced, comfortable, and ready for a long set.
Under the hood is a genuine Music Man designed humbucker with Alnico magnets, wired into the same 3-band active preamp that made the original famous. You get independent volume, bass, mid, and treble, plus a heavy-duty 3-way switch that unlocks series, parallel, and single-coil split tones — punchy modern slap, fat vintage thump, or something leaner for cutting through a busy mix.
The maple neck is bolted on with a 6-bolt joint for a tight, stable low end, and the 34″ scale with 45mm nut width gives that extra low string real room to breathe without feeling cramped up top. A 12″ fretboard radius across 21 frets keeps chords and fast runs feeling natural.
