Description
Every bassist eventually needs a box that does more than just send a clean signal to the board—the SansAmp Bass Driver DI v2 is that box. It’s built around Tech 21’s classic Tube Amplifier Emulation circuit, giving you the low-end thump of a cranked Bassman or SVT rig without hauling a cabinet to the gig. Whether you’re chasing warm vintage tone, punchy slap brightness, or full-on gnarly distortion, it’s all dialed in right at your feet.
- Presence shapes definition and upper harmonic snap
- Drive pushes the overdrive and gain structure as hard as you want
- Level sets output for the XLR and effected 1/4″ outs
- Blend mixes your raw direct signal with the SansAmp circuitry—great for piezo-equipped basses
- Bass & Treble active EQ, tuned specifically for bass, with +/-12dB cut or boost
Version 2 keeps the original’s tonal DNA intact but adds a bass frequency switch to reach deeper into 5- and 6-string territory, plus a mid-range control with its own frequency switch—so it stays relevant no matter how low your strings go.
Three outputs cover every scenario: effected XLR for the board, effected 1/4″ for your amp, and a parallel uneffected 1/4″ so you can run clean and dirty simultaneously. A footswitch flips the Tube Amplifier Emulation on or off, letting the unit double as a straightforward, transparent active DI when you just need clean signal.
Comes preloaded with reference settings—Bassman, SVT, King’s X, Slap, Reggae, Crimson—plus settings for Chapman Stick and acoustic guitar, so you’ve got a starting point no matter the gig.
This unit is open box and in mint condition.
