Description
The BA-210 V2 is the combo you grab when the gig calls for real headroom but the load-in still has to happen solo. At 450 watts RMS through a pair of Ampeg Custom10 speakers plus a 1″ HF tweeter, it pushes enough low end to anchor a full band while staying light enough to actually carry.
Tone comes from Ampeg’s Legacy preamp with 3-band EQ and the Ultra Hi/Lo shaping network, so you can go from tight and punchy to deep and woolly without fighting the controls. Flip on Bass Scrambler overdrive and you’ve got SVT-style grit on tap — dial it in from clean to filthy, and add the optional footswitch if you want it under your foot instead of your hand.
Ampeg angled the cabinet at a true 60 degrees, so it throws sound at your ears on stage instead of your knees. Beyond the tone controls, this combo is set up to work in real-world setups:
- Dedicated XLR balanced line out for direct-to-board runs
- Independent effects send/return for pedal integration
- HF mute to kill the horn for a rounder, more vintage voice
- Extension speaker output if you need to add a cab
- -15dB input pad for active basses or extra headroom
- Aux input for practicing along with tracks
- Headphone out for quiet woodshedding
Build quality holds up to van life: 15mm poplar ply cabinet, an all-steel chassis, impact-resistant metal corners, and double-thick Ampeg Classic black Tolex. At 48 lbs, it’s a one-trip amp that’s ready for the next load-out.
