Description
Some tones you don’t chase—you inherit. The Ampeg Heritage SVT-CL is the real deal, assembled in the U.S.A. with the same all-tube architecture that’s rattled ribcages on stages for over six decades. Plug in and you’ll feel it before you hear it: that thick, growling low end with just enough grit on top to cut through a wall of guitars.
Under the hood sits a full complement of premium JJ tubes—2x 12AX7 in the preamp, 1x 12AX7 plus 2x 12AU7 in the driver stage, and six 6550 power tubes pushing out a genuine 300 watts RMS at 2 or 4 ohms. This isn’t a solid-state approximation of vintage tone; it’s the actual tube circuitry that made SVT a household name among bass players. The 5-position midrange selector lets you dial in everything from scooped modern thump to vintage-forward growl, so the amp adapts to your gig instead of the other way around.
Built to work, not just look good: Neutrik Speakon and 1/4″ speaker outs, a transformer-balanced line out for direct-to-board situations, and Heritage black sparkle grille cloth over soft Tolex that’s built to survive load-in after load-in. Pair it with the Heritage SVT-810E for the complete rig, or drop it into your existing cab setup.
