Description
If you’ve ever stood behind an SVT-810E at soundcheck, you know the feeling — that wall of speakers pushing air right through your chest. This is the cab that built the sound of stadium rock, funk, and everything in between, and it’s still the reference point every other 8×10 gets measured against. This particular unit is B-Stock, meaning it’s brand new but has a few cosmetic blemishes: a dent on the handle, a bent grill, and some cracks on the front outer enclosure. None of that touches the tone — it’s the same eight 10-inch drivers doing the same heavy lifting, just at a friendlier price.
- Dual Neutrik Speak-On and 1/4″ input/output jacks for flexible rig setups
- Built-in resistive bulb attenuator protects the horn from overpowering signals
- Handles up to 1600W program power (800W RMS) at 4 Ohms nominal impedance
- Frequency response from 58 Hz to 5 kHz, usable low end down to 40 Hz
- 100 dB sensitivity and 130 dB max SPL — plenty of headroom for loud stages
- Protective skid rails for load-in and load-out abuse
- Wired for stereo or mono operation
Dimensions run 48 x 26 x 16 inches, weight comes in at 165 lbs, so bring help or a dolly. Component 1 drivers pack a 30oz magnet, 10-inch cone, and 2-inch voice coil each — eight of them working together for that unmistakable Ampeg growl and punch. If you’re chasing the classic 8×10 sound and don’t mind a little wear on the outside, this is the cab.
