Description
If you’re chasing that dense, woody low-end that only a Bartolini quad-coil can deliver, the xxP46C-B gives 6-string players a P4 soapbar shaped and wound for the job. Part of the Original Bass series, it’s a fully passive design cast in epoxy, so you get quiet, feedback-free performance even at stage volume — no microphonic squeal creeping into your signal when you dig in.
The quad-coil layout is splittable, opening up tonal options beyond the standard humbucking deep tone this pickup is known for. Whether you’re locked into a reggae groove or laying down something more aggressive, having coil-split flexibility means you can dial in exactly the character the song needs without swapping pickups.
This unit is built for extended string spacing — 74mm to 95mm — which makes it a good match for boards with a 16″ radius or flatter. If your 6-string has a low-curvature fingerboard and wider string spacing, this pickup is sized and voiced to work with it, not against it.
