Description
Every bassist has that one pedal they can’t gig without — for a lot of low-end players, it’s the Alpha•Omega Ultra. Darkglass built this thing around two totally different distortion voicings: Alpha for a tight, punchy edge with real note definition, and Omega for something rawer and heavier. The Mod knob lets you blend or switch between them, and if you’re running Darkglass Suite, you can even flip between the two with a footswitch mid-set.
The Blend and Level knobs give you precise control over how much dirt sits under your clean tone, while Drive dials in the gain. Flip on Bite for extra high-mid presence and cut, or Growl for a fatter, more saturated low end — small switches that make a big difference live. Underneath it all sits a six-band active EQ (bass, four mids, treble) so you can shape your tone exactly to the room, plus a Master slider that handles overall output, DI level, and headphone volume without touching your bypass tone.
On the back end, you’ve got a balanced Direct Output with switchable, USB-loadable impulse-response cab simulation — so you can go straight into the board with a real cabinet feel, or flip Cab Sim off for a zero-latency signal. A Ground Lift switch keeps hum out of your DI line. And because this is the Aux-In version, there’s a 1/8" stereo input dedicated to headphone practice — plug in your phone or laptop and run backing tracks straight through the built-in headphone amp.
