Description
The B7KV2 builds on the Microtubes B3K’s dynamic saturation engine and hands you the tools to shape it properly. Drive and Level get your overdrive dialed in, while Blend lets you keep a clean signal underneath the grind — the clean side stays at unity gain, so you’re mixing in saturation rather than replacing your tone with it.
Where this pedal earns its spot on a gigging or studio-bound board is the four-band EQ: Low (±12dB @ 100Hz), Low Mids (±12dB @ 1kHz), Hi Mids (±12dB @ 2.8kHz), and Treble (±12dB @ 5kHz). That’s enough range to carve out a mix-ready low end or push a growl through a dense arrangement without fighting the guitars.
Two switches give you extra shaping before the signal even hits clipping. Grunt selects between three bass-boost levels feeding the saturation stage, so you decide how much low end actually gets driven. Attack controls how much treble gets saturated — Boost adds clarity and edge, Flat leaves it alone, and Cut tames high-frequency saturation, which is a real help when you’re running fresh strings or a cab with a tweeter that doesn’t need more sizzle.
On the output side you get a Parallel Output for passthrough/parallel rigs and a balanced Direct Output built for running straight into a PA or studio console — no separate DI box needed.
