EBS spent two decades building its reputation before putting anyone’s name on a pedal. The first artist to earn that honor is Stanley Clarke — a bassist whose ear for tone is as legendary as his playing. This pedal isn’t a generic wah with a famous name slapped on it; it’s a purpose-built collaboration between Clarke and luthier Thomas Lieber of Spellbinder Corp. USA, tuned specifically to how a bass wah should feel and respond under a bassist’s foot.
Flip between Wah and Volume modes depending on what the song calls for, and shape the sweep with four selectable filter modes — Low, Band, Boosted Band, and High Pass — so you’re not stuck with one flavor of quack. The filter Q range (4.5 to 16) lets you dial in anything from a subtle vocal-like sweep to a sharp, aggressive bite, while the center frequency range spans 50 Hz all the way to 12,500 Hz for real control over where the effect lives in your tone.
True bypass keeps your dry signal untouched when the effect’s off, and the pedal handles both active and passive input levels (-8 or -20 dBv) so it works with whatever bass you bring to the gig.
