Description
Six strings, 35″ of scale, and a slab of spalted maple that makes every one of these basses one-of-a-kind visually – the B-206SM is where extended range meets serious low-end authority. The ash body anchors the tone with weight and growl, while that figured top gives it the kind of grain character you can’t fake or reorder twice the same way.
The 5-piece maple/jatoba neck is carved into a thin U profile, so even with six strings under your hand the fretboard stays fast and manageable – 24 XJ frets on a roasted jatoba board with a 400mm radius means chords up high feel just as good as fundamentals down low. A 54mm nut gives the low B room to breathe without cramping your fretting hand.
Passive ESP Designed SB-6N/SB-6B pickups feed into an active ABQ-3 3-band EQ, so you can shape mids and carve out stage room without losing the punch that makes a bass feel like a bass. LTD tuners and the LTD DB-6 bridge keep tuning stable across all six strings, and black nickel hardware ties the whole look together against that Natural Satin finish.
