Description
Some basses chase vintage tone. This one just has it. The Classic Series ’60s Jazz Bass Lacquer brings back the offset alder body and slim “C”-shaped maple neck that made the original Jazz Bass a game-changer when it landed in 1960, and it does it with a real gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish rather than a modern poly coat — meaning it’ll wear in and open up tonally the more it gets played and gigged.
Under the hood, dual vintage-style single-coil alnico pickups deliver that classic scooped-mid, punchy-low growl Jazz Basses are known for, dialed in via twin volumes and a master tone knob. The 7.25″-radius pau ferro fingerboard with 20 vintage-style frets and pearloid dot inlays keeps the feel low and fast under your fretting hand, while the synthetic bone nut and American Vintage 4-saddle bridge hold intonation and sustain rock solid night after night.
Finished in Olympic White with a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard for that unmistakable throwback look, and loaded with American Vintage reverse open-gear tuners for smooth, stable tuning. Comes strung with Fender USA Bass 7250ML strings (.045-.100) and ships with a tweed case, so you’re covered from practice room to stage.
