The Aerodyne strips away the pickguard and shows off a carved basswood top wrapped in cream binding — it’s a Jazz Bass that looks as sleek as it plays, and it’s light enough to wear through a long set without complaint. This unit is a demo, so it’s been played, but it’s ready to go straight into your rig.
Under the hood you get a split single-coil Precision Bass pickup in the middle position paired with a standard single-coil Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge, giving you access to that thumpy P-style low end and the more vocal, cutting Jazz bridge tone — often blended together for a bass that covers a lot of ground on its own. Controls are simple: independent volumes for each pickup plus a master tone, mounted around back rather than up front for that clean, uncluttered face.
The maple neck carries a stained rosewood fingerboard in a comfortable “C” profile, with side dots only (no face inlays) keeping the look minimal. The matching painted headstock and silver Fender logo tie the whole thing together, while smoked chrome hardware — bridge, open-gear tuners, and skirted dome knobs — adds a bit of stealth flash instead of shiny bling.
