Every bassist who’s ever plugged into a vintage Fender Bassman knows that amp’s low-end pedigree runs deep – and the Bassbreaker 45 Combo carries that same 59 Bassman circuit forward, dressed in dark grey lacquered tweed with a rugged birch ply cabinet. It’s built as a guitar amp, but the touch-sensitivity and full-bodied bottom end that made the original Bassman legendary are right there in the response.
Two 12AX7-loaded channels (Normal and Bright) can be blended through the Both input without a patch cable, giving you a wide spread of tonal combinations. The Output knob scales the amp’s 45 watts down to a single watt, so you can chase that full-throttle overdrive character at bedroom, studio, or stage volume without losing the feel. Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence controls let you shape things further, whether you want tight low-mids or an open, roomy voice.
Two 12″ Celestion G12V-70 speakers handle the reproduction, backed by a semi-closed cabinet that adds resonance and low-end punch – the kind of enclosure design that low-frequency players will appreciate. An internal speaker disconnect lets you run the amp’s output into an external 8-ohm cabinet, and it pairs neatly with the matching BB-212 extension enclosure if you need to go bigger.
