Every bassist knows the tradeoff: 4×10 cabs give you that full, tight low-end spread but usually punish your back on the way into the venue. Fender’s Bassman 410 Neo flips that script. Loaded with four 10″ Eminence U.S.A. neodymium speakers instead of traditional ceramic drivers, this cab keeps the punch and clarity of a proper 4×10 rig while coming in at under 55 lbs — a real difference when you’re hauling gear up stairs after a show.
The tone is classic Fender: articulate low mids, present growl, and a top end sharpened by the compression driver horn, which you can dial back with the built-in attenuator if things get too bright for your taste. Frequency response runs 40 Hz to 15 kHz, so you’re covered from sub-heavy grooves to snappy slap tone.
Cosmetically it’s straight out of the late-’60s/early-’70s Fender playbook — blackface styling on a lightweight plywood shell with nickel-plated steel corners. Practical touches carry through too: Speakon and dual 1/4″ inputs for flexible hookup, side-mounted spring-loaded flip handles, and removable 2″ swivel casters so you can roll it instead of carrying it.
Rated at 1,000 watts program / 500 watts continuous at 8 ohms, it’ll take a serious head without flinching.
