Description
Every bassist knows the Jazz Bass voice the second they hear it — that throaty, punchy snarl that cuts through a mix without stepping on the guitars. This Player Series version delivers that classic tone through two Alnico 5 single-coil pickups, wired with independent volume controls for bridge and middle plus a shared master tone, so you can dial in anything from thumping neck-pickup warmth to biting bridge-pickup edge.
The alder body wears a gloss polyester 3-Color Sunburst finish, mounted to a maple “Modern C” neck that’s fast and comfortable under the hand — satin on the back for grip, gloss on the front for glide. A 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets keeps things playable whether you’re locking into a groove low on the neck or reaching for upper-register fills. The synthetic bone nut and 4-saddle bridge give you accurate intonation and easy setup adjustments, so the feel is yours to tune in.
Small details round out the vintage-meets-modern package: a 3-ply parchment pickguard, vintage-style disc string trees, open-gear tuning machines, and the four-bolt “F”-stamped neck plate that’s been a Fender signature for decades. This is a bass that doesn’t ask you to choose between studio precision and stage durability — it’s built to handle both.
