Description
Every P-Bass sound you’ve ever heard on a record starts here. The Player Precision Bass takes that split-coil thump and hands it to you in Polar White, with a Pau Ferro board that keeps the attack smooth under your fingers. This isn’t a bass that needs explaining to anyone in the room – drummers lock into it, engineers reach for less EQ, and you spend less time fighting your tone and more time playing it.
The alder body and Modern “C” maple neck keep the whole instrument light in hand and quick to move around on, whether you’re holding down a groove or throwing elbows on a busy stage. That Alnico 5 split single-coil pickup is the heart of the thing – fat, punchy, and voiced with just enough modern clarity to sit well in a mix without losing the vintage growl that made this shape famous. Master volume and tone are right where your hand expects them, no surprises, no digging around mid-song.
A 9.5″ radius fingerboard with 20 medium-jumbo frets covers everything from slow blues to faster fingerstyle runs, and the 4-saddle bridge gives you real control over intonation and action so the bass can be set up exactly how you like to feel it under your hands. Small touches – the 3-ply parchment pickguard, synthetic bone nut, open-gear tuners, and the F-stamped neck plate – round out an instrument built the way P-Basses have always been built.
