Fender’s Road Worn ’50s Precision Bass takes the original blueprint that defined bass tone itself and adds the dings, wear, and broken-in feel of a lifer instrument – so you sound and look like you’ve already put in the miles, whether you have or not.
Under the distressed Fiesta Red nitrocellulose lacquer sits an alder body paired with a 1-piece maple neck in a comfortable C shape, also finished in nitro for that vintage flex and resonance modern polyurethane just can’t replicate. The maple fingerboard carries a 7.25″ radius and 20 vintage-style frets, keeping things familiar if you’re coming from an old-school P-Bass or hopping between vintage-flavored instruments.
Tone comes from a single Precision split-coil pickup positioned in the classic mid spot, run through simple Volume and Tone controls – no fuss, no menus to dig through, just the fundamental P-Bass punch that’s anchored recordings for seven decades. The American Vintage Precision/Jazz bridge and reverse-style vintage tuning machines keep things stable on stage, while nickel/chrome hardware and the gold anodized aluminum pickguard finish the aged-relic look.
