Description
If you’ve ever plugged in an upright and lost what made it sound like your bass, the Full Circle was built to fix that. Fishman housed this pickup right inside a sturdy aluminum height adjuster wheel, so it sits in the signal path of the endpin itself and picks up the actual vibration of the instrument rather than just surface noise or feedback-prone boom.
The payoff is a transparent, accurate reproduction of your tone – fat pizzicato thump, full arco sustain, or slap attack all translate through the amp with the dynamics intact. A built-in fine-tuning adjustment lets you dial the response toward something more open and resonant, or pull it back for a drier, more focused sound depending on how your bass behaves and how you play.
This is the UNC 1/4-20 format – check your bass’s height adjuster threading before ordering, since Fishman also makes a 6x1mm version for basses that use that spec.
Because it’s built into the wheel, installation on instruments that already have a height adjustment wheel is fairly quick, though professional setup is still recommended to get it seated and dialed in right. Pairing the Full Circle with an impedance-matching preamp – Fishman’s Pro-EQ Platinum Bass, Pro-EQ II, or B-II – isn’t mandatory, but it’ll help you get the most out of the pickup.
