If you’ve ever fought with a cab that muddies out at volume, the 700RB-II’s bi-amp design is the fix. It runs your lows and highs through separate amplifier sections — 480W into 4 ohms (320W at 8 ohms) for the low end, plus a dedicated 50W at 8 ohms for the tweeter — so your fundamental stays tight and your top end stays articulate instead of blending into mush on horn-loaded cabinets.
The RB EQ section gives you real control over your tone rather than a generic boost: a bass-specific four-band active EQ, adjustable contour and presence, plus voicing filters tailored for 4 or 5-string basses. On the output side you get a boost switch, tweeter level with a high-cut option, and woofer level with a crossover switch, letting you dial in exactly how much air the horn gets.
Practical touches matter on a working amp, and this one’s covered: a 90dB power indicator, clip LED, 10dB pad for hot input signals, mute switch with its own LED, and a balanced XLR direct out with level control, ground lift, and pre/post switching for the sound guy. Hook up to your rig via two 1/4″ jacks or two Speakon connectors.
