Some heads make you choose between tube warmth and a light load-in. The MB Fusion refuses to pick a side. Gallien-Krueger dropped the same all-tube preamp from their Fusion 550 into the featherweight MB2-500 chassis, so you get genuine 3x12AX7 harmonic grind without throwing out your back after a four-hour load-in.
Power-wise it’s no lightweight either: 500 watts at 4 ohms, 350 at 8 ohms, plenty for rooms where you need low end that actually pushes air. Shape your tone with the 4-band active EQ and a variable contour control with selectable mid frequency, then dial in extra edge or thump with the Deep and Bright switches. Whether you’re running P-bass thump, active jazz snap, or something dirtier, this head lets you land on it.
Stage-ready extras handle the practical side of gigging: a mute switch for silent tuning, an active/passive input switch (-14dB) so any bass plays nice, an effects loop, tuner out, and an XLR out with switchable pre/post EQ and a ground lift for clean DI runs. Two Speakon outputs give you flexible cabinet options.
