Description
There’s no reason a 500-watt rig should wreck your back, and the GK MB500 proves it. Weighing in under 4 lb. and eating up less than a single rackspace, this head puts serious low-end authority into a package you’ll barely notice in your gig bag – until you plug in and it hits like a full-size stack.
GK’s 4-band active EQ with contour switch gives you real hands-on control over the tone, from scooped slap settings to a growling, mid-forward pick tone. When you need to cut through for a solo or push a chorus section, the footswitchable boost channel adds independent volume and grind without touching your main dial-in.
Built to go straight from rehearsal to stage to studio, the MB500 offers an XLR direct out with pre-/post-EQ selection and ground lift, so front-of-house gets a clean signal without you fussing with a separate DI box. There’s also a tuner out with mute for silent tuning between songs, an effects loop for outboard gear, and a headphone/line out for quiet practice or direct recording.
