Under the hood, GK’s discreet FET-driven preamp runs the same field-effect transistor technology behind the legendary G.I.V.E. boost circuit that’s defined Gallien Krueger tone for decades. That means every gain stage, the four-band active EQ, and the variable Contour control all respond with that touch-sensitive push – clean and warm when you back off, snarling and aggressive when you dig in.
Status lighting across the front panel keeps you informed at a glance – input clip, tuning mute, Gain A, Gain B/Level-B, power amp clipping, limiter, and EQ/Contour settings are all illuminated so you’re never guessing mid-set.
