The NEO212 IV is what happens when GK takes every lesson learned from earlier NEO cabinets and applies it without compromise. It shares its cabinet footprint with the Fusion and Legacy combo series, so it slots in as a natural extension cab or works as a standalone rig with a Legacy or Fusion head on top.
Inside, you’re getting a plywood shell that’s been braced for rigidity but kept light enough to actually want to carry into a gig. GK lined the interior with damping material specifically to tame rear-firing high frequencies before they escape through the port and muddy up what’s coming off the front of the speaker — the payoff is a top end that stays clean and controlled instead of getting harsh or cluttered. On the outside, a metal grille, reinforced corners, and a heavy-duty coating mean this box is built to survive load-in after load-in.
The heart of the cabinet is a pair of custom Neodymium woofers, engineered in-house by GK rather than sourced off the shelf. They run die-cast frames instead of stamped ones, which translates to more durability and higher power handling over the long haul. The voice coils use edge-wound aluminum ribbon wire rather than standard round wire, giving the drivers better efficiency and headroom. GK also built in a genuine crossover network plus circuitry that guards the horn against sudden power spikes, so your highs stay intact even when you’re pushing the cab hard.
