It’s built around a distortion channel with independent gain, volume, and blend knobs, so you can dial in anywhere from a subtle growl to a full-on gnarly overdrive — and blend it against your clean signal so the low end never disappears into fuzz. A noise gate keeps things tight when you’re not playing, and the Color control lets you push extra low-end presence or high-end snap without touching your amp.
The onboard 3-band EQ means you can shape your DI signal to fit the room before it ever hits the mixer, which is a lifesaver on stages where the sound guy doesn’t know bass. Phantom power runs the unit clean off the board, or you can run it on a single 9-volt battery or the Dunlop ECB-003 adapter for total flexibility. Both 1/4″ and XLR outs are on board, plus a parallel output jack so you can split your signal for a second amp, tuner, or effects chain without any extra gear.
