Description
Every bassist knows the pain of a DI that thins out your tone the second it hits the snake. The Radial ProD2 was built to solve that problem twice over, giving you two independent passive channels — each running through its own custom Radial transformer — so both your bass and a second source (keys, acoustic, second instrument) get the same faithful, full-range treatment straight to front of house.
Because these are passive designs, there’s no battery to die mid-set and nothing coloring your signal beyond what the transformers do naturally: kill noise, reject hum, and keep phase distortion out of the bass and midrange where your tone actually lives. That means your low B still growls the way it should once it reaches the board, not just at your amp.
The chassis is 14-gauge welded steel with internal I-beam bracing and a book-end shell design, so the switches and connectors are tucked into a protective zone rather than sitting exposed to get stepped on or rolled over by a case. This thing is meant to live in a gig bag and take abuse.
- Two channels, each with a dedicated custom Radial transformer for 100% isolation
- Full-range passive circuit — very low harmonic and phase distortion, especially in bass/mid range
- Isolated XLR outputs eliminate chassis ground potential; AES standard pin-1 ground, pin-2 hot
- -15dB pad per channel to tame hot sources without overloading the circuit
- Ground lift switches on both channels
- 14-gauge steel I-beam construction with book-end shell protecting switches and jacks
- Military-spec PC board with full ground plane to resist RF noise
- No-slip rubber bottom pad for stage stability
- Baked enamel finish built for the long haul
Whether you’re running a bass and a backup instrument or just want redundancy on a big gig, the ProD2 hands off two clean, honest signals without the fuss of phantom power.
