Description
The Omen Extreme-5 gives five-string players real estate to work with. That 35″ scale keeps the low B string tight and defined instead of floppy, while the mahogany body with quilted maple top and creme multi-ply binding brings some visual weight to match the sonic weight underneath. Finished in Gloss Natural with gold hardware, this one looks as serious as it plays.
- Bolt-on maple neck with a Thin “C” profile – fast under the hand across all five strings
- Rosewood fretboard, 24 X-Jumbo frets, 16″ radius, abalone & pearloid vector inlays
- Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut (1.771″ wide) and 2-way adjustable truss rod
- Schecter Diamond Bass pickups in the neck and bridge for a punchy, articulate voice
- Volume/Blend/2-Band EQ controls for quick tone shaping on the fly
- Schecter Diamond Bass bridge and Schecter tuners for solid, gig-ready tuning stability
Neck thickness runs .787″ at the 1st fret up to .866″ at the 12th, so the low B doesn’t come at the cost of a comfortable grip – something a lot of extended-range basses get wrong. The arched top adds contour without adding bulk, and the 2-band EQ means you can dial in more low-mid growl or scoop it out depending on the room. This is a five-string that’s built to be played, not just admired.
