Description
Five strings, one job: cover the low end with authority. The Omen Extreme-5 runs on a 35″ scale, which gives that low B real tension and definition instead of the flabby, undefined thump you get on shorter-scale five-strings. Mahogany body with a flamed maple top keeps the tone grounded but not muddy, and the arched top adds a bit of visual flair under the Vintage Sunburst finish.
- 6-bolt neck joint for solid, efficient energy transfer between neck and body
- Maple neck with a Thin ‘C’ profile – fast under the hand, .787″ at the 1st fret up to .866″ at the 12th
- Rosewood fretboard with 24 X-Jumbo frets and a 16″ radius, dressed up with abalone and pearloid vector inlays plus crème multi-ply binding
- Schecter Diamond Bass pickups in both positions, wired to a single volume control – simple, no-fuss setup that stays out of your way live
- Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and a 2-way adjustable truss rod for dialing in your feel
- Black chrome hardware including a Diamond Bass bridge and Schecter tuners, with metal knurled knobs
- 9-volt clip-in battery compartment for the active electronics
- Strung with Ernie Ball 5 String Super Long #2850 (.045-.130)
Built right-handed in Indonesia, this is a five-string that’s meant to be played hard – onstage, in the studio, or wherever the low B needs to actually mean something.
