Description
The Stiletto Vintage-5 is Schecter’s answer for bassists who want a workhorse five-string that covers rock, funk, and everything between. The extended 35″ scale gives that low B string real definition instead of the flabby, undefined thump you get on shorter-scale fives — your low end stays tight whether you’re locked into a groove or digging in for a solo.
Under the hood, a basswood body keeps the weight manageable for long sets, while the bolt-on maple neck with its Thin ‘C’ profile and 16″ radius rosewood fretboard makes fast runs and wide chord voicings feel natural. 24 X-Jumbo frets give you the real estate to work the whole neck, and the Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut helps keep tuning stable string to string.
Tone-wise, the pairing of a Schecter Diamond SuperRock MM bridge pickup with a Schecter Diamond J in the neck gives you both aggressive humbucker growl and classic J-bass snap. An active 2-band EQ with master volume and blend puts shaping control right at your fingertips, so you can dial in everything from a scooped slap tone to a thick, mid-forward rock voice.
Chrome hardware including an S-Tek bridge and Schecter tuners rounds out a build meant for the stage, not just the studio. It ships strung with Ernie Ball 5 String Super Long strings (.045-.130), ready to plug in and play.
