Description
The StingRay name means one thing to bassists: that unmistakable, forward growl that cuts through any band mix. The RAY35HH takes that DNA and adds a second Sterling by Music Man designed humbucker, giving you way more tonal ground to cover—from the classic single-pickup snarl to a fuller, humbucking low-mid push when you flip the 5-way selector through its positions. Run it through the 3-band active preamp and you’re shaping serious low end without losing clarity on the top string.
Underneath the Stealth Black finish sits a mahogany body paired with a roasted hard maple neck—stable under stage lights, resistant to humidity swings, and fast under the hand thanks to the 9.5″ radius and medium frets. The rosewood board with white dot markers keeps things classic-looking while the 6-bolt neck joint locks everything down for solid sustain and tuning stability, string to string.
Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings come installed from the factory, so it’s ready to plug in and go. A Deluxe Sterling by Music Man gig bag is included, meaning you can grab it and head straight to rehearsal or the next show without hunting down a case.
