Van Zandt was rewinding pickup magnets for fellow players around Dallas/Ft. Worth since the 1960s, a machinist and country guitarist who built his reputation one repair at a time. That same old-school ear for tone is what goes into every P-Bass pickup that leaves his hands.
What you’ll feel on the low end: a loud, even response with plenty of bottom that doesn’t get muddy, balanced by top-end clarity that lets your attack cut through a mix.
