Hauling a rig up three flights of stairs shouldn’t cost you your low end — that’s the whole point of the Neo212-II. GK built this Artist series cab around two custom cast-frame 12″ neodymium woofers, so you get the push and low-frequency authority of a full-size 2×12 without the back-breaking weight of conventional magnets. Front-ported design means the bottom stays fat and the top stays articulate, with a Paragon horn tweeter cutting through for slap, pick, or any style that needs snap on top.
Tone-wise, it’s an honest cab: even response across the neck, midrange that doesn’t disappear in a mix, and lows that hold their shape at volume. Run it full-range for straightforward gigging, or bring your own biamp setup into play using GK’s biamp system — both Speakon-style and 1/4″ inputs are on the back panel, so it plays nice with whatever head you’re running.
Built like it’s meant to actually work for a living: 11-ply poplar cabinet, heavyweight Tolex covering, interlocking stackable corners, and a 16-gauge steel grille up front to take the abuse of load-in after load-in. A top-mounted handle makes single-person moves realistic, and removable casters help when you’re rolling instead of carrying.
